Why do I still need to collect a ticket with my Cineville card?
With the Cineville card you can visit all affiliated film theaters, but the card doesn't give you direct access to a film. In order to actually watch a film you'll first have to collect your ticket at the register - or at a Cineville ticket machine.
Collecting a ticket is necessary because theaters are legally obligated to register all their visitors, monitor how many visitors are viewing a certain film, and keep track of how many Cineville members are using their card at their venue. Also, in case of an emergency, emergency services need to know exactly how many people are in the building.
